At TEXAS DIVE CENTER, as a Assistant or full Open Water Instructor, you not only gain additional experience as a Professional scuba diver, but you also start learning the System of diver education. You can act as a certified assistant and assume limited teaching responsibilities as a Assistant Instructor and that just takes 3-4 days of the ITC. It’s a great way to gain experience in order to become a scuba open water instructor!The SSI Assistant Instructor course is the first portion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) and when followed by the Open Water Instructor Training Course and successful performance at the Instructor Examination (IE), leads to certification as a Open Water Instructor. This full course runs 7-9 days and prepares you to take the Instructor Examination given by a SSI Instructor Certifier following the course.$3462 total fee includes all required training material, instruction and then some. If you already are a AI we deduct $1400. You will also get training in Four Specialties to teach, besides Nitrox and Buoyancy Specialties once you achieve your final Instructor credentials.
